Glossary

Column

cardiovascular -Having to do with the circulatory system in the heart muscle.

di-peptide - 2 amino acids attached to each other.

glycosilation - In glycosilation glucose or blood sugar attaches itself to proteins such as red blood cells, or connective tissue, & oxidizes the red blood cells or connective tissue thus damaging them. This is why the body has a mechanism (insulin) to keep the levels of sugar in the bloodstream below a certain level as sugar is an oxidant & also is one of the reasons why anti-oxidants are so beneficial.

"Never go past a misunderstood word because you will blank out & not understand anything you read after that misunderstood word." (L.Ron Hubbard)  Therefore every Information Page will have a Glossary Column to the right.  Glossary words will be bolded, underlined & colored green.  Since this site is still under construction & all glossary items are not complete call tech support if you need further explanation.  Additional note: Discounts are available which due to the competitive nature of the internet we do not wish to put up on this website. Once again just call the 800#.

Karno-Life
(L-Carnosine U.S.P.)

Highest Quality CARNOSINE

L-Carnosine, a naturally occurring di-peptide (beta-alanyl-L-histidine or 3 acetyl L-histidine) found in muscle, brain and other mammalian tissue, has significant antioxidant and anti-aging properties. It has been shown to have very beneficial cardiovascular and neurological effects.

  • Carnosine has important cardiovascular properties, is important for maintaining neurological health, as well as preventing and aiding problems related to aging.

  • Carnosine can inhibit glycosilation (glycation), which is one of the primary causes of aging. Glycation is the result of metabolism in which sugar aldehydes react with amino acids resulting in oxidized molecules and abnormal proteins.

  • Because of this, Carnosine may be helpful in preventing diabetic complications and in age related problems such as dementia, cataracts, and arteriosclerosis.

  • A powerful antioxidant it scavenges harmful free radicals (such as peroxyl radicals) protecting healthy cells, including the endothelial cells, from free radical damage. It also protects against lipid peroxidation. Carnosine further protects by preventing toxicity from compounds that have invaded the cells and have formed dangerous chemicals, including aldehydes and malondialdegyde (MDA). MDA can cause damage to DNA and result in aging.

  • By being an aldehyde scavenger, it prohibits age pigmentation (lipofuscin) and may have an effect on inhibiting wrinkles.

  • L-Carnosine releases Calcium and acts as a modulator of calcium-regulated proteins in the cardiac muscle cells, and helps protect the cardiovascular system from free radical damage.

Montiff Karno-Life is the highest quality pure L-Carnosine available.

Each capsule contains:
200 mg of the highest quality, pure L- Carnosine (beta-alanyl-L-histidine).

DIRECTIONS: Take 1-2 capsules of Karno-Life (L-Carnosine, 200mg.) per day on empty stomach with 4 -8 ounces of water, or as needed. Vitamin E and Co-Q10, as well as other antioxidants will enhance free radical protection. Take 1 Vita Minz Plus and 1-2 Minerals Plus, which provide copper and other nutrients for synergistic effects. For complete evaluation as to the patient's Carnosine needs, an amino acid analysis of the plasma or urine, that measures Carnosine levels, is recommended.
