Amino Acids - Are the building blocks of protein. Your body is primarily made of protein.  And protein in turn, is made up of chains of amino acids What distinguishes all amino acids is that they all have a group, (amine group), made of 1 atom of nitrogen & 2 atoms of hydrogen. (NH2)

Free-Form Amino Acids - Individual amino acids that are  unattached to each other or anything else & therefore able to be immediately absorbed into the blood stream with no digestion necessary. Since, unlike proteins, free-form amino acids require absolutely no digestion, they can be absorbed by anyone no matter how old they may be or the condition of their digestive system.  Also, unlike proteins, free-form amino acids can be taken on an empty stomach such as right before a workout.  Whereas proteins have to have a mass of food sufficient to stimulate the release of digestive juices. This is why most protein supplements are presented as blender drinks.  Free-form amino acids are not to be confused with so-called "predigested protein."

Negative nitrogen balance - The condition of excreting more amino acids & protein than one is taking in. This makes it difficult to maintain ones body since the body's tissues are mainly made of protein & amino acids which require constant maintenance & repair.

Precursors - the substance from which another substance is made.

Protein - Chains of some combination of the 20 so-called "proteogenic" amino acids. (proteogenic means to generate protein). In other words their are only 20  amino acids from which all proteins in all organic life both animal & vegetable are made. Not all 20 are in every protein, but nothing else but some portion of the 20 proteogenic amino acids in repetitive long chains often approx. 100,000 amino acids long are what all proteins in all life are made from.

Secretalogical cells - Cells that secrete hormones.

Cir-Cu-Care

A blend of antioxidants, amino adds, minerals, and vitamins that support the circulatory system. May prevent plaque and improve blood flow.

Recent research, at major universities, has shown that certain nutrients have a profound beneficial effect on the cardio-vascular system. These revolutionary formulas help to improve heart and circulation, and may help to prevent heart and vascular problems, which often lead to disease and surgery.

Each capsule contains:
Vitamin E (d'Alpha Tocopheryl) - 100 IU; Potassium Aspartate - 20 mg (Elemental); Elder Berry extract - 30 mg; Ginkgo Biloba extract - 30 mg; Grape Seed extract - 15 mg; Pine Bark Extract - 10 mg; Taurine - 5 mg; L-Glutathione Reduced - 5 mg; Arginine HCL - 150 mg (Elemental); Selenomethionine - 15 mcg.

Cir-Cu-Care is a unique formulation of Amino Acids, Antioxidants, Botanicals, Minerals, and Vitamins that support the circulatory system.

DIRECTIONS: 4 Capsules per day, or as needed. May be combined with Montiff Vaso-Lene for complete circulation support (at 2 CIF-Cu-Care plus 2 Vaso-Lene per day). May also add Cardio-Care (with folic acid, B-6, & B-12; 2 per day) for full spectrum Cardio-Vascular support. Otherwise, 1-2 B-Complete or B-Long are recommended to provide folic acid, B-6 and B-12, for the prevention of harmful homocysteine levels as well as proper amino acids metabolism.

RECOMMENDED FOR:

  • Supporting the vascular system and helping to increase blood flow.

  • Those experiencing vascular problems.

  • Individuals who have a family history of vascular disease.

  • Helping to prevent hypertension.

  • Helping to prevent Arteriosclerosis by assisting in the Production of Nitric Oxide, and important antioxidant properties.

  • Beneficial in assisting in prevention and reduction of plaque and cholesterol.

CAUTION: This formula has beneficial anticoagulation properties, however, caution should be exercised with those on the medication, Coumadin.

WHAT IS NITRIC OXIDE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO ARGININE?

  • Nitric Oxide (NO), a small molecule synthesized from Arginine in the body, is the endothelial relaxing factor (EDRF). It plays an essential role in the regulation of vascular homeostasis.

  • In the cardiovascular system, Nitric Oxide's important functions are for the modulation of cardiac contractility, regulation of vascular tone, and the prevention of vessel injury and Atherosclerosis. It is also an important free radical scavenger.

  • Studies at major universities, as well as studies funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, support the importance of Nitric Oxide, its role in the endothelial-vascular system of the body, and its relationship to Arginine supplementation.

  • A study "Effect of L-Arginine on Plasminogen-Activator Inhibitor in Hypertensive Patients with Hypercholesterolemia" in "The New England Journal of Medicine", Jan. 28,1993 by Korbut, Ph.D., Bieron, M.D. and Gryglewski, M.D. discussed patients with high blood pressure and high cholesterol who were administered IV Arginine HCL. The infusion of L-Arginine was associated with a decrease in the plasma PAI and cholesterol levels as well as normalization of blood pressure in the Hypertensive patients with Hypercholesterolemia.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFICIAL ASPECTS OF ANTIOXIDANTS?
Antioxidants protect the body from oxidative stress, which can cause peroxidation of lipids. The oxidized LDL can lead to the development of atherosclerotic plaques

VITAMIN E (d'Alpha Tocopherol)

  • Vitamin E has been shown in numerous studies to have important antioxidant properties, and is very important for cardio-vascular health.

  • Vitamin E has an effect on prostaglandins. Medical research has noted the important anti-platelet aggregation properties of Vitamin E and its influence in vascular disease. Thus, it helps to prevent blood clots and it is often used, in conjunction with aspirin, to help decrease the incidence of heart attacks and strokes.

ALPHA LIPOIC ACID

  • Helps to potentiate the effects of Vitamins E, C, Beta-Carotene, and Co-Q 10 as well as increasing available glutathione levels.

  • Ischemia-reperfusion injuries, which occur in conditions such as stroke, cardiac arrest and head trauma, result from the release of free radicals during reoxygenation of tissue that has become hypoxic. Since it's efficacious in preventing these Ischemia-reperfusion injuries, ALA may be important to patients who have had strokes, cardiac infarction, and open-heart surgery.

  • Alpha Lipoic Acid has antioxidant protection against LDL's, and helps prevent fatty deposits on arterial walls.

GLUTATHIONE:
This amino acid has powerful antioxidant properties and protects cell walls from free radical damage. It helps regulate Citrulline in the kidneys, which increases Arginine levels. Glutathione may also play a role in maintaining levels of d'Alpha Tocopherol in membranes.

SELENOMETHIONINE:
Methionine, an amino acid, aids in the maintenance of Glutathione pools, and combining it with selenium enhances its bioavailabilty. Methionine disorders are associated with the presence of homocysteine, which is correlated with heart attacks and strokes. Folic acid is also very important for the prevention of excessive homocysteine. B-Long or B-Complete are recommended to provide this important B vitamin, as well as the other B vitamins necessary for proper metabolism of Methionine and other amino acids.

TAURINE:
an amino acid found in meat and absent in vegetarian diets, has several functions, including the regulation of the potassium-sodium-calcium-magnesium flux for proper heart muscle function. It is also an antioxidant, and potentiates vitamin E activity.

GINKGO BILOBA EXTRACT:
possesses strong antioxidative and free radical scavenging activities. It acts as a vasodilator and its effect on smooth muscles may produce hypotensive benefits.

GRAPE SEED EXTRACT:
with exceptional free-radical scavenging ability, contains procyanidins, which help release more prostacyclin (a vasodilatory hormone). This also has a favorable effect on cholesterol levels.

ELDER BERRY EXTRACT AND PINE BARK EXTRACT:
are other antioxidants important for a healthy circulatory system.

POTASSIUM:
is a mineral critical for heart cell metabolism.
