Oceana Fish Oil

Our raw material selection process is rigorous to the extent that nearly 95% of available material is unsuitable for processing as natural Oceana Fish Oil. Raw material is carefully handled. Time and oxygen will make even the best fish oil rancid; combating this problem, Marine Nutriceutical Corporation developed an antioxidant blend (consisting of rosemary extract, ascorbyl palmitate and mixed tocopherols) that assures the product's quality. Using state-of-the-art equipment, Oceana is processed in Norway on a pristine fjord. The oil is perfected by a highly trained team of professionals. Every batch of Oceana Fish Oil is extensively tested to be free from harmful environmental contaminants such as mercury, lead, arsenic, pesticides, PCB's and dioxins. To further confirm the product purity, anisidine and peroxide values are tested; this foretells possible problems with taste or odor. Our company maintains exacting protocols with redundant failsafe measures to assure uniformly pure products.

Oceana Molecularly Distilled Fish Oil Concentrates

Molecular distillation produces oil that is free from environmental contaminants, PCB's, toxins and heavy metals. Molecularly distilled fish oils have no rancid fish odor or taste. The distinguishing factor of molecular distillation is the ability to create concentrates and customized fatty acid profiles. By using this process, we can concentrate fatty acids from their natural state of approximately 30% EPA and DHA combined to as high as 80% DHA and EPA. Molecular distillation of natural oil results in levels of purity beyond that which can be achieved by other methods. An accelerated oxidation test subjects the oil to conditions far more severe than will ever be encountered under any normal conditions in order to keep the testing time reasonable. Extrapolating to normal storage conditions of 20º C, an unopened bottle should last 24 months. After opening, the bottle should be refrigerated and used within eight weeks.
