Column

Bone tissue -Composed of approx. 35% mineral crystals-(roughly 2/3s Calcium & 1/3  Phosphorus), & 65% cartilage like material made of protein sugars.  It is the 35% Calcium containing mineral crystals which give bone its stiffness or rigidity-(or compression strength) , & the 65% cartilage-like material that gives bone its ability to bend without breaking-(tensile strength).  The point of all this being there is more than just Calcium to bone health.

Calcium is the main component of the mineral portion of bone tissue and it decreases with age. Calcium supplementation can increase bone density, and Vitamin D enhances Calcium absorption. Ipriflavone also stimulates bone formation and Calcium absorption. Other ingredients in this formula are also important for healthy bones, help to prevent bone loss, and provide antioxidant protection against harmful free radical damage.  A broad-spectrum free-form amino acid mixture such as ALL-BASIC is also very useful for the 65% of bone tissue which is largely made of proteins.
